Description

What is redemption? How do you get it? How is it different from revenge? Multi-award winning authors Lucy Jane Bledsoe and Devi S. Laskar will read from their new novels and discuss how they write with an eye toward redemption that is true and honest.

Lucy Jane Bledsoe’s new novel, Tell the Rest, features two queer characters who use their rage and creativity to take on the Christian right. Her fiction has won many awards, including a California Arts Council Fellowship in Literature, an American Library Association Stonewall Award, and two National Science Foundation Artists & Writers Fellowships.

Devi S. Laskar is a poet and photographer, a former journalist and the author of The Atlas of Reds and Blues, winner of multiple awards including the 2020 Asian/Pacific American Award for Literature. Her second novel, Circa (2022), was a Goop Book Club selection. Her next novel, Midnight, At The War, will be published by Mariner in 2025.
