Grief is a normal response to loss, and loss is a natural part of life. But the COVID19 pandemic and losses from community violence has been a heavy collective grief.
This 5 week drop-in group is for anyone grieving the loss of a loved one and is looking for information, tribute support, and connection. Meetings happen in person and are offered at no charge. The group is facilitated by Michelle Macarai, LCSW
The group meets on Tuesdays beginning September 5th thru October 24th from 6:15 pm -7:30 pm.
Registration is not required. All are welcome for any and all sessions!
Michelle Macarai, LCSW is the Clinical Program Training Coordinator at Crisis Support Services of Alameda County and has a long history of working in hospice, palliative care, and bereavement. She believes that death/dying and grief are authentic, natural parts of life that deserve space, support, and community.
