Join Author William Gee Wong in discussion of his 2024 book, Sons of Chinatown: A Memoir Rooted in China and America

In Sons of Chinatown, pioneering journalist William Gee Wong chronicles a two-generation father-son story beginning from his father's experiences as an immigrant during the Chinese Exclusion Era through Wong's own journey from his beginnings in Oakland's Chinatown to acclaim on the national print stage.

About the Author:

Wong has been a regional commentator for The News Hour with Jim Lehrer, a reporter for the Wall Street Journal, and a columnist for the Oakland Tribune, San Francisco Chronicle, San Francisco Examiner, and Asian Week, among other publications.
