Events › Zita the Spacegirl Summer Book Club

This summer reading program invites children ages 7–11 to join a 4-week book club centered around Zita the Spacegirl by Ben Hatke, a vibrant and engaging science fiction graphic novel. Designed to support literacy and social engagement during summer break, the book club will blend guided discussions, interactive crafts, and (hopefully) themed snacks to create a fun and educational experience.

Participants must register to join the book club.

Meetings will take place Tuesdays in June: June 3, 10, 17, and 24 from 4–5 PM, and participants are encouraged to attend all sessions.

At our first meeting, each member will receive a free copy of the graphic novel. Reading assignments will follow the book’s chapters and align with the weekly schedule.
