Darwin BondGraham is the News Editor at The Oaklandside. He is also the co-author, with Ali Winston, of the 2023 book, The Riders Come Out at Night, which examines the Oakland Police Department's history of corruption and reform. In 2017, while at the East Bay Express, he won the George Polk Award for Local Reporting for his work exposing a notorious OPD sex scandal.

BondGraham will be joined by Librarian Ian Hetzner for a candid discussion on the state of journalism at a local level, what it's like covering City Hall and the OPD, The Oaklandside's success in a changing news landscape, what the future holds, and more.
