Celebrate Main's 75th Anniversary. 

11 AM- 2PM: The Hear Here Truck from Commons Archive will be collecting Main Library memories on the lawn at Madison & 14th St.

1 PM Oakland Jazz Workshops (Main Lobby)

2 PM: Remarks. City Proclamation and remarks by Mayor Barbara Lee, Community Photo (Main Lobby) 

2:30 PM: The party moves inside to the Bradley C. Walters Community Room for cupcakes, costume contest, and 1951 Trivia. We'll also make some magnets using old music scores and the official Main 75 logo!

All day: Exhibit about the history of the Main Library on the 2nd floor (start in the hallway, proceed to the Oakland History Center.

Dress in 1950s period attire if you're so inclined. We will also have a photo booth to commemorate your attire!
