Description

Come to the Dimond Library to learn about building sustainably inclusive and accessible community space.  This event spotlights a panel of speakers from queer of color community spaces in Oakland and the greater Bay Area, including the restaurant Understory on International Boulevard, the volunteer-run Moments Cooperative and Community Space, and Queer Women of Color Media Arts Project (QWOCMAP). We will learn about the important work of each group, including their considerations, practices, and strategies for building sustainable, inclusive, and accessible spaces. The event concludes with a broader discussion with all attendees. Masks are requested and will be available.
