Main Library TeenZone

Description

Interested in creating your own teen programs or events? Got a club you've always wanted to start or a skill you'd love to share? Have an eye for design and ideas for book displays or holiday celebrations? Drop in to our monthly Teen Advisory Board (TAB) meetings on the second *Friday* of the month at the Main Library TeenZone to learn more about what's possible at TAB and start collaborating with other teens. Snacks provided!

TAB is a youth-led, librarian-supported volunteer group for youth in 7th—12th grades who are excited to take an active role in shaping what we offer to teens at the Main TeenZone. As a TAB member, you get the opportunity to:

  • Make real your ideas for the TeenZone as a place for teens, by teens!
  • Develop real-world skills and experience that you can use in job and college applications
  • Fulfill your community service hour requirements
  • Enjoy food, fun, and friendship at our monthly meet-ups
