Learn the Japanese art of decorative mending in this hands-on class for adults. 

Sashiko (literally “little stabs”) is a form of decorative reinforcement stitching or functional embroidery from Japan.

Space and supplies are limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis. Doors will open at 2:30PM.

This program is possible thanks to a grant from the Friends of the Oakland Public Library.
