Come Celebrate Transgender Month Through Readings at OPL

November is dedicated to Transgender Awareness. It's a vital period for us to collectively celebrate, honor, and advocate for our transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse (TGD) friends, relatives, and community members. By sharing knowledge and building empathy, we aim to increase understanding and appreciate the diverse and vibrant experiences that enrich the TGD community. The month's observances culminate on November 20th with the annual Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR). This is a somber but necessary moment when communities around the globe pause to mourn and reflect on the lives tragically taken due to transphobia and hateful violence. The seven days leading up to TDOR (November 13th through 19th) are often recognized as Transgender Awareness Week.
