Records of the Bay Area Paul Robeson Centennial Committee, consisting of fliers and programs for Committee events held in Berkeley, San Francisco and Oakland, California, correspondence between Committee members and various entities, meeting agendas and minutes, copies of their monthly newsletter titled "On My Journey Now," and diverse research materials. A few fundraising fliers and fliers soliticiting donations are housed with the newsletters. Clippings form the bulk of the research materials and consist of both original clippings (1952-1997), and facsimiles of articles dating from 1942 to 1998. Photocopied photographs from 1942, facsimiles of a program for "An Afternoon of Music and Poetry presenting Paul Robeson", held at the Oakland Auditorium Theatre (Feb. 9, 1958) and the program notes for "The Life and Times of Paul Robeson" (New Jersey Network television, Fall 1997), and laminated Robeson quotations round out the research materials.
